Juniper celebrates the people behind great school environments during Living Wage Week and National School Meals Week
Posted November 10, 2025
This November, Juniper, a specialist provider of catering, cleaning and health and safety services to the education market, is proud to celebrate both Living Wage Week and National School Meals Week, two occasions that highlight the vital role people play in creating thriving school communities.
As an accredited London Living Wage employer since 2016, Juniper ensures that all employees across catering, cleaning and health & safety receive at least the real Living Wage. Now in its eighth year of accreditation, this commitment remains central to Juniper’s belief that fair pay, respect and opportunity make communities stronger.
Throughout the week, Juniper is recognising the dedication of its teams who make schools welcoming, safe and inspiring places to learn; from the chefs preparing nutritious meals to the cleaners and safety professionals who care for every detail behind the scenes. Together, they embody Juniper’s customer promise: Making Communities Stronger.
Michael Hales, Chief Executive Officer of Juniper Ventures and National Chair of LACA, said:
“This week we’re celebrating our brilliant people – our kitchen teams, cleaning colleagues, and health and safety professionals who all play a vital role in making schools work. The London Living Wage is about respect and recognition for the care and quality they deliver every day. Fair pay and good food go hand in hand, creating pride, purpose and stronger school communities.”
Juniper’s commitment to the London Living Wage sits alongside its long-standing support for National School Meals Week, which celebrates the importance of healthy school food and the people who deliver it. By valuing and investing in its people across every service, Juniper continues to help schools provide safe, welcoming environments where every child can thrive.
